Born in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Bardèche is the third of six children. She is of Congolese origin and Canadian nationality.
In 2014, she decided to formalize her skills and completed an intensive six-month training program in Esthetics and Hairstyling at CAMS/GMS in Kinshasa. In 2015, she moved to Canada, Manitoba, where she continued styling the hair of many African-diaspora families while pursuing her studies at Daniel McIntyre Collegiate Institute (2016–2019) and working as a hospital kitchen aide.
In 2021, she obtained a Make-up Artist certification from MC College and later specialized in lash and brow enhancement through Lash & Brow Lamination.
Her experience in Canada, in close contact with the African diaspora, enabled her to identify specific needs related to textured hair and transform her hairstyling experience into an entrepreneurial journey. In 2020, she developed the first signature haircare product that became the foundation of BMKI.
